Bear Season at Yala Village

May is the “Palu” season in Yala and honey-greedy sloth bear
are a common site during this time of the year. So if you are an ardent Bear-lover or even a first-timer who wants to catch a glimpse of the furry creatures in the wild, Yala is the place to be in these days. Yala Village is having special offers throughout this month including some excellent rates, guided tours and picnic breakfasts by the beach at Patanangala. What’s more, for the real enthusiasts, there will be presentations by Lal Antonis and Chitral Jayatilake on the 22- 23 of May. The naturalists at Yala Village have reported that the sightings have already started to increase which means the season started early this year. My advice to all of you out there – grab your cameras and head Yala-wards !
